ACRA is the acryonm for Air Canada Recreation Association.  It’s about employees sharing in fun, sports, cultural and recreational activities in a social setting. It’s about employees getting acquainted and showing their skills and talents in an off-the-job environment. It’s a volunteer-based organization, created for employees by employees.

ACRA offers a variety of activities which include annual and local events---Adult and Children’s Christmas parties, contests, picnics, handicraft sales, harbour cruises, local bowling, soccer, and softball. Tournaments are held in various countries, which allow employees to meet colleagues from around the system, as well as from the same city.

As well, members have the opportunity to obtain theatre, show and special event tickets at discounted rates, hotel discounts, discounted merchandise, as well as fitness club facilities.

ACRA is an association for people who like participating in fun events, who have a flair for innovative ideas, and who have a zest for friendly competition ---- it’s all about participation, it’s not all about winning. It can also be an opportunity for colleagues, from different cities and/or different branches, to get to know each other, discover common interests and share and exchange work-related knowledge.
